Estelle Costanzo is a harpist and performer from Italy who lives in Basel (nationalities I, FR, CH). Her artistic focus is on interdisciplinary projects and contemporary music. She is involved in various music theater productions both conceptually as a director and as a musician/performer, especially in the field of music education. She has performed in several productions throughout Europe (Lucerne Festival, Wiener Konzerthaus, Elbphilharmonie, Philharmonie du Luxembourg, Gstaad Festival, among others).

She is a member of the Basel Sinfonietta and the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra. Co-founder of the quartet “Too Hot To Hoot?” and the harp duo “AEcstaly” with Alice Belugou, member of Gare des Enfants in Basel. Since 2024, she has been Contemporary Leader at the Lucerne Festival. She is also interested in free improvisation and has worked with Fritz Hauser and Charlotte Hug, among others.

Estelle studied harp in Turin, Lausanne, Basel, and Paris. She earned a Master of Arts in Specialized Musical Performance in Contemporary Music from the University of Music in Basel and a Diplôme d'Artiste Interprète en 3ème cycle supérieur from the CNSM de Paris. She completed an orchestra internship with the Bern Symphony Orchestra and attended the Lucerne Festival Academy.

Estelle has won several international competitions and foundation prizes, including second prize at the Concours Nicati (2015), and regularly performs at international festivals such as the Schwetzinger SWR Festspiele, ManiFeste IRCAM, MITO Settembre Musica, Lucerne Festival, Münchener Biennale, Festival Messiaen, ZeitRäume Basel, Archipel, Musica Strasbourg and Tage für neue Musik Zürich. She has made recordings for KAIROS, Naxos, Alpha Classics, WDR, and SRG SSR.

She is a harp teacher at the Laufental-Thierstein music school (BL) and is trained in the Suzuki method for preschool children as well as an ETHNO Leader. She is a coach at the Lucerne Festival Academy and a regular jury member at the swiss competition for young musicians (SJMW).
